Amy Crawley is a charcoal and mixed media artist. Her work is based in the themes of memory, loss, ancestry and women’s history. Her creative process attempts to capture layers of memories; drawn, erased, redrawn, pieced together, torn apart, re-interpreted.
Amy was a full time artist for 10 years before she took a hiatus, switched mediums and returned to creating her art in 2019 with a focus on exhibitions.
Her art has been exhibited at the Amherst Visitor Information Center, the Burnett Gallery, Hosmer Gallery, Dane Gallery, Wisteriahurst Museum and at the Worcester Art Museum Higgins Wing.
She served two terms on the Amherst Public Art Commission, chaired the Amherst Arts Night Plus committee for five years and served one term as a trustee on the board of the Amherst Historical Society and Museum.
